Hitting the road with a working spouse.

More time together. That was the priority on our new list and the catalyst for many changes to come. We can’t say it was easy or always comfortable to pack our lives into suitcases, manage homeschooling on the road and juggle the demands of a corporate schedule. But we ditched comfort for creating memories with our boys and seeing each other every day. We wrote these posts below to help you figure out the in’s and out’s of traveling as a family and never missing out on the big things that matter.

Leaving corporate America.

We knew there had to be more… more than a big paycheck and a job that left Matt physically and emotionally drained. The result of seeking more? A recalculation that came with quitting that coveted job, with the big title, for the purpose of growing as a family. If you dream of leaving behind the hustle of corporate America for something new, these posts will get you thinking for the future!

Traveling around the world.

Paris. Amsterdam. Barcelona. Thailand. Japan. New Zealand. A trip around the world. These are just a handful of the destinations we’ve reached on the map once Matt left corporate America. Traveling, learning, experiencing new food, living on a budget—all the fun! We can report back that you don’t have to have it all figured out (or be rich) to plot out that first trip. Let’s pick a spot and plan for the adventures ahead!

Simplifying life.

Simplifying our lives to make room for more. That became our new motto when we sold our house… and all the stuff in it. Our mindsets changed after traveling the world and living on less and we didn’t want the growth to stop. The following content will help you figure out what matters most and simplify your life for the sake of joy, changing priorities and new recalculations.

Starting a business.

It was a huge recalculation to go from a life packed with big salaries, bosses, and a break-neck pace in the corporate world to learning an entirely new business and figuring out how to launch it with business partners. We learned how to succeed, fail, innovate, and create. These posts are packed to help you think creatively about taking chances and throwing out conventional thinking around work!

Living in a small town.

We’ve found ourselves slowing down and breathing deeper while living in a small town. Developing and growing a business was demanding and time consuming. We started to wonder if we filled our time and unconsciously made our lives busy to feel content and satisfied. No time to daydream, no time to grow personally, no time to think. No time outside. These posts will show you how to sync up with nature, slow down the pace of life, and work through what it feels like to do less. It’s actually harder than you think.
