When the Why Changes
We launched a business. With six-figure sales in less than 60 days it is a success. Of course, our goal is to earn money. Absolutely. But that is just one of our goals. Years ago money was our only goal. But the why started to change. In our hearts we want to help people. Always have. In our hearts we want to have the experience of starting a business. Learning an entirely new industry. Navigating uncharted territory. We want to be in it together this time. So, what does that look like?
Matt farming and working with his hands. From Wall Street to the farmlands of Colorado. He is understanding what is put in to growing a crop. The knowledge, time and care that goes into it. Not shying away from the fact that he has never done this before but leaning into the experience.
2. Having the kids help. Our flagship store is in Breckenridge on Main St. The boys have helped renovate and paint the store to get it ready for the Grand Opening, fold and stuff boxes for the inventory and help keep track of inventory. They are seeing what goes in to running a business.
3. Enjoying the experience. While it is so easy to get wrapped up in all the “To-Dos” and things that need to get done, we are taking time to enjoy it. The customers that share stories of how our product has helped them. The fresh mountain air we breathe every summer day with the door open. The joy in creating something.
